OLED, a new light by Ingo Maurer

Organic light emitting diode - OLED is a synonym for a completely new generation of lamps. The innovative top-quality illuminating element, which is manufactured by the German company Merck, is extremely thin and light, versatile in application, durable and saves energy.

The first lamps using Merck's OLEDs were under development in the studios of two of the most important designers of our time: Ingo Maurer in Munich and Hannes Wettstein in Zurich. At The Design Annual for the first time their new inspiring OLED products were presented to the publicity.
